Perpetual Motion in Room 17: Time-lapse video

I am passionate about creating classroom spaces that embrace a wide variety of learning needs.
To me, that means removing traditional physical and social barriers
that inhibit instruction, movement and interaction, as seen above in 2005.

Students select new seats each Friday.
I tell them, “Choose wisely, or I will choose for you.”
If a seating arrangement is too distracting, individuals receive a reminder.
After three times in one day,
a single round of classic Rock, Paper, Scissors determines who is relocated.

My husband set up a GoPro camera in order to show the movement of students in Room 17.
The following time-lapse video features the first 70 minutes of a typical Monday morning,
compressed to under two minutes.
